I had undergone a number of investigations and fertility treatments over a two year period at two different hospitals and a private fertility clinic. During this time I was treated by numerous doctors, none of whom came close to the level of care given by Mr Pickersgill. Mr Pickersgill has the perfect combination of professionalism yet a genuinely caring and compassionate nature. From the outset we were immediately put at ease and became confident going forward for the first time in many months. I underwent a hysterospic resection of a fibroid, followed by an open myomectomy to remove nine more fibroids. The operation was a huge success and my recovery has been very quick. I cannot thank him enough for his skills as a surgeon but particularly for being there to answer questions, advise and reassure throughout.

Having been diagnosed with endometriosis in 2009 while living abroad and after suffering 2 miscarriages, I had my first consultation with Mr Pickersgill to discuss options. In this first consultation Mr Pickersgill listened to our history and understood our situation completely. He was able to offer advice and reassurance and following this appointment we decided to plan a laparoscopy with Mr Pickersgill to treat any ongoing endometriosis. The surgery took place in August 2015 and I was in and put of hospital in a day. After subsequent follow up appointments with Mr Pickersgill and treatment for hyperplasia I am now pregnant with twins. Without his expertise and care, I'm not sure we would have succeeded in reaching our dream of decoming parents.

I was under doctor pickersgill 5yrs ago and recently been referred back to him at my request as he is the only endometriosis specialist that i trust and believe in...this very special guy is my hero...for the last 18 months i was quite poorly with stomach pains caused by eating lots of trapped wind and way to many to mention a+e visits but didnt know what the problem was...my last stay in hospital it was finally diagnosed as a blockage in my bowel SBO and i had two strictures of the colon all down to endometriosis ...but no one was willing to help, so now i know what the problem is i desperately needed doctor pickersgill so an appointment was made and of all the patients he sees on a daily basis he actually remembered me from previous years...and within 5mins of being with him i knew i was going to be ok and that he would do everything he could to help me...and thats exactly what he did the following week he got the ball rolling and got a colorectal surgeon involved i had emergency surgery to remove the obstruction and a bowel resection all done by both surgeons... im 3 weeks post op now and feel i have my life back i owe this guy so much hes truly amazing one of a kind...he listens...he explains everything to you..he always finds the time to reply to his calls if you call him and leave a message...his knowledge is outstanding and i feel totally blessed that hes my specialist....sent from heaven...a rare diamond....

Hes an amazing doctor!! Caring, friendly and professional. He knows exactly what he's doing in all his trained areas and very knowledgeable, I really wouldnt want to use anyone else. He's treated me for a few things and most recently a hysterectomy and I was up and about with no problems in no time! He's really very good at what he does and I'd highly recommend him (and Karen his secretary is very efficient too.) Thanks Mr P for everything you've done so well...and most importantly for helping give me my kids(helping me surgically I mean!)

I was previously under a different doctor at Wythenshawe who was rude, and didn't listen. I was moved to Mr Pickersgill and he is a breath of fresh air. A truly wonderful doctor, who takes the time to understand his patient, who reads the notes and who gets it. He put me at ease within about 5 mins after fretting about my gynae issues and pain for so many months. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone!
